Creating a label to have a package sent TO campus

Timothy David 3 years ago updated by Richard Thibault (IT Manager) 3 years ago 4

I have received a request to create a shipping label so that a colleague can send a package to a lab in my department. I am wonder if there is a way to have a label created through transtream, as opposed to taping the requisition to the box and CR attaching the shipping label

Hi Timothy - Yes, what you are referring to is the "Create a Return Label Requisition" option in Transtream.  Click that button from the Transtream Desktop and you will be guided through the process to enter the required information.  Once submitted, that request will go to our Shipping Desk where it will be processed and the shipping label e-mailed to your colleague.  Let me know if you have any other questions!  Thanks! - Richard

Thanks Richard! I see that this feature is for domestic use only, is there a way to create a return shipping label for use internationally?

Hi Timothy - Sorry for the delayed response.  No, this cannot be used for International Shipments.  For International Shipments, you will need to contact shipping@colostate.edu with the information of the person sending the package, what carrier they wish to use (DHL, FedEx, or UPS) as well as a Kuali Account # to bill the charges to.  The Shipping Desk will then send a carrier account # to your shipper along with instructions.  It will be up to them to pack the shipment, fill out any necessary customs documentation, and provide the shipment and carrier account # to the carrier for shipping.  Hope that helps!  -Richard
