Shipping multiple packages to multiple locations

Robert Adams 6 years ago updated by Richard Thibault (IT Manager) 6 years ago 1

Many times, especially during the fall, I ship multiple packages to different locations at the same time. For example, I may ship 5 packages to San Diego and 8 packages to Atlanta on the same day. How do I make sure all the packages for each shipment remain together? Do I print out enough shipping labels for all the boxes (as I do now in iShip) and tape them to the correct packages?

Great question!  Yes, when you create your shipment, you will add additional packages with correct dimensions and weight.  When you click Print, your Shipment Request Form will show Package 1 of 8, Package 2 of 8, etc.  Place the correct slip on the correct package just like you do now with iShip.  See the image below.  It would also be helpful to write 1/8, 2/8, 3/8 etc on the correct box in marker in case the slips get detached.

*Side Note:  Never duplicate a Shipment Request by printing extra copies for extra packages.  If it says Package 1 of 1 then you can only ship that one box on that one request.  You will need to generate another request for additional boxes or generate a new multi-package shipment request for multiple boxes.
